Does SOLR need to be rebuilt between an 19.2.1 upgrade and 2020.7?

Overview

In a situation where SOLR stops intermittently, a user would like to upgrade to Xinet Portal 2020.7 from 19.2.1, but would like to know if the SOLR Database needs to rebuilt prior to upgrading to Portal 2020.7.

 

Solution

If you are upgrading to Xinet Portal 2020.X from 19.2.1, there is no need to rebuild the Solr database prior to the upgrade.
