Using Batch Keyword Apply triggers an error message

Overview

In Xinet Portal versions 2020.3, 2020.6, or 2020.7, when using the Batch Keyword Apply feature in Portal on a User Volume that is a sub-folder of the main Xinet Volume, the following error message is displayed: None of the volumes allow editing of data fields

The Batch Keyword Apply plugin issue persists regardless of whether Solr is on or off and affects all known users with a User Volume that is not in the top Xinet Volume path.

 

Solution

The issue was fixed in Xinet version 2021.1. Upgrade Xinet to version 2021.1 or later following the steps in the Upgrading Xinet article.

 

Testing

After the upgrade is complete, use the Batch Keyword Apply feature and ensure the error message is no longer displayed.
